The constant thing with police taking your drugs all the time breaks this game. This literally happened in 7 of the last 10 games I have played. I used to love the old game on Windows, but this game sucks because of that. I downloaded this game because I used to enjoy it back in the day, but this version blows. Lots of bugs with this. The banks shouldnt be random. There should be a bank in every burrow, and the muggings that pop up at the most inconvenient times wouldnt be as much of a loss as is currently. Also, you shouldnt be getting mugged if you are carrying a gun, much less, all 4 available. Cops get harder to kill, which is good, but we should be offered bullet proof vests in the gun shop.Apr 05, 2024 00:41:51

I laugh as I read the negative comments about the game. It's "Dope Wars Classic" as it is the classic "Drug Wars (Drugwars)" from the 80's that was ported to the TI-82/83 calc's that all of us Gen X/Xennials grew up with. I saw the original source code and have made some QBasic and C++ variants back in the day. The game is True to its roots and a very nice piece of nastalgia for the current digital age.
